Scotch on the Rocks

Scotch on the Rocks

Nothing more than an excuse to hear the pure 7th chords in Centaur tuning on a piano (pianoteq). A really, really simple improvisation.

Hi Kite, the score can be found here: http://micro.soonlabel.com/centaur_tuning/daily20110528-scotch_on_the_rocks.pdf

since it is a live performance and I can’t follow a metronome the score is rather sloppy. Also, I made the score use only 16th notes and longer just to make it more readable. On the other hand this is a simple piece to play – it follows the usual expected blues patterns.

The tuning is Centaur – and is centered on middle C

Nice one, Chris! How about a score, or at least the tuning of the tonic. I know it’s not A-440.
