On a Well Worn Riff is an improvisation for Jake Freivald’s 2 – 11 – 13 subgroup challenge in honor of the date 2/11/13 (European date format). For this challenge I chose Bleu 17 tuning from the 2 – 11 – 13 subgroup and played it on my 17 note per octave keyboard layout. I chose the name because I’m pretty sure I used this riff somewhere else – if not outright plagiarized it. Oh well…
