The Cry of Indium

The Cry of Indium is a piece for 3 copies of Z3TA+ 2.1, Kontakt providing percussion played on an midi controller plus ebowed fretless guitar recorded in Sonar. The software synthesizers are set to Gene Ward Smith’s Indium 17 tuning which is a part of the chromatic pairs series. The guitar was worked into the piece by ear. I honestly don’t know what I think about the piece as a whole yet. Some parts I like but then overall I find that the pace might be too slow.

As for the title: Indium is a very soft, silvery-white, relatively rare true metal with a bright luster. When it is bent, indium emits a high-pitched “cry“.
