An improvisation in Gene Ward Smith’s 17 per octave equal beating dwarf (<17 27 40|) for piano, jazz drum kit and Asian percussion. When reviewing my March traffic statistics I found that this core of "I Gave Up Thinking for Better Thoughts” had a large number of downloads. Apparently a number of Brazilian (as best as I can figure out) people out there decided they liked this version – much to my surprise. So I present it as its own piece – your mileage may vary.
