Frozen Time Occupies Wall Street is an improvisation using a tuning suggested by Peter ‘Rush’ Kosmorsky on the Facebook Xenharmonic Alliance. I tried two things before I improvised – I found the pseudo-octave and I have to report it really DID sound to me like an octave even though you will see in the tuning below it is 3/1 not 2/1. And I played what would be a C major 7th which forms the major harmonic motive of the piece. I modified Pianoteq to give long sustains and very harmonic strings (10 foot strings) with high unpredictability of harmonic content.

I started some of your pieces and the player gave a short red warning sign, but no sound.
After a few tries, and when I went to http://www.soonlabel.com I got the clones.soonlabel.com. And after that it worked miraculously.
There may be some misconfiguration with the server (from here in Austria).
However, your microtonals do sound astonishing tonal.

Hi Kent, I am glad you enjoyed the piece! Pianoteq is software that is a “physical model” of a piano. Essentially Modartt’s Pianoteq software calculates how a real piano works to create its sound. This also gives you a lot of control of how the piano sounds because you can adjust the parameters of the equations used to calculate the sound. I have found it to be the most realistic piano software I’ve tried so far. Follow this link to an example of the unaltered piano sound in a different tuning.
